SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco beach volleyball team and Head Coach
Diogo Silva have announced the schedule for the upcoming 2025 season.
Following a successful 2024 campaign, San Francisco looks to build as it returns nine of its 13 players from last season while welcoming three newcomers to the program. True freshman

Jacquelyn Strawn and
Michalina Rola are set to play significant roles for the team.
The 2025 schedule features multiple high-end opponents including nationally ranked Hawaii, California, Stanford, Washington, and Arizona. California is first on the docket in the season's opening weekend as San Francisco travels to take on the Golden Bears on Saturday, Mar. 1. The Golden Bears wrapped up 2024 ranked seventh in the final American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Poll. The green and gold will also face off against San Jose State, Santa Clara, and Sacramento State in its first dual matches of the season on Friday, Feb. 28, and Saturday, Mar. 1.
San Francisco will then trek to the Aloha State to compete in the Heineken Queen's Cup from Thursday, Mar. 6 to Saturday, Mar. 8, at Queen's Beach in Honolulu. The team will participate in matches against host Hawaii, Saint Mary's, Tulane, and Washington. The Dons' Hawaii road trip concludes with four more dual matches from Monday, Mar. 10 to Wednesday, Mar. 12, when they face off against Hawaii Pacific, Chaminade, and Nebraska.
Returning to the West Coast the following weekend, the green and gold travel to Long Beach to compete in the Long Beach State Invitational at on Saturday, Mar. 15 – Saturday, Mar. 16 at the LBCC Sand Courts. The Dons open the tournament with two dual matches against CSU Bakersfield and Boise State on Saturday and conclude with Arizona and Concordia on Saturday.
Competing in their lone home event, San Francisco hosts Pacific on Saturday, March 22 at the College of Marin before competing in the West Coast Challenge on Friday, Mar. 28 – Saturday, Mar. 29 in Santa Cruz.
Five more dual matches conclude the regular season when the team takes on Stanford on Wednesday, Apr. 2, Pacific and California on Saturday, Apr. 5, before traveling to Malibu to face off against Pepperdine and Vanguard on Friday, Apr. 11 and Saturday, Apr. 12.
Postseason play begins on Thursday, Apr. 24, at the West Coast Conference Championships in Santa Monica.
