SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The University of San Francisco men's golf program began another busy week with the UCSB Gaucho Invite as the Dons finished seventh overall as a team at Sandpiper Golf Club.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Oscar Bredkjaer shined for San Francisco in this tournament as the sophomore was tied for first at 7-under (68-69) after the first two rounds on day one. Moving into Tuesday, Bredkjaer shot a 73 in his final round to finish fourth overall at 6-under-210 (68-69-73).
- Renato Naula climbed the leaderboard on Tuesday as well as the junior rose one spot from Monday to finish in a tie for 21st overall at 3-over-219 (71-76-72).
- One stroke behind Naula, Martín León finished in a three-way tie for 29th at 4-over-220 (74-73-73).
- Rounding out the lineup, Brian Park tied for 54th overall at 14-over-230 (77-78-75) while Henry Styles finished 58th overall at 16-over-232 (76-76-80).
- As a team, San Francisco led the field in total pars with 178, which included Naula leading all individuals with 40 pars. Additionally, Bredkjaer finished fifth in the field in Par 4's, shooting 3-under with an average of 3.89.
NEXT UP:
San Francisco will continue another busy week as the Dons are set to compete at the El Macero Classic this weekend. Hosted by UC Davis, the tournament is scheduled for Friday, Apr. 11 through Sunday, Apr. 13 at El Macero Country Club in El Macero, Calif. Live results will be available via the
