Dons Set Personal Bests at Payton Jordan and Fresno State Invitationals

STANFORD/FRESNO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco men's and women's track and field teams competed in two meets last weekend, having impressive showings at the Payton Jordan Invitational and the Fresno State Invitational.

- Veronika Reed impressed for the women's program as she competed in multiple events throughout the weekend. In the 100 meters at the Payton Jordan Invitational, Reed ran the seventh fastest time in program history at 12.40 and earned an eighth-place finish out of 14 competitors. She was also part of the 4 x 100-meter relay team that secured a first-place finish and recorded the second-fastest time in program history at 47.25.
- Rae Le Fay earned a first-place finish in her first-ever 800 meters, setting a personal-best time of 2:08.05, and finishing 0.49 ahead of the second-place finisher.
- On the men's side in Fresno, Cole Fiegener posted a personal-best time while moving into fourth place in the program's all-time list in the 800 meters at 1:51.69.
- Herbie Johnson also set a new personal best in the 1500 meters at the Payton Jordan Invitational, surpassing his previous best by less than a second at 3:46.74.
