2008-09 SEASON: As a freshman, competed in one dual match... defeated Cecilia Hedin of the Academy of Art 6-0, 6-0. PREP CAREER: Played Varsity Tennis and ran Track for four years at Rosary High School... was a member of the National Honor Society and the California Scholarship Federation. PERSONAL: Born in January of 1990... daughter of Raymond and Rebecca Gaitan... chose USF because she likes the City... goal for the season is to earn points for the team... likes the diversity in San Francisco... the best advice she would give to youngsters is to not let anyone tell you that you can't achieve something... after graduation she plans to travel... would like to attend Wimbledon... favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice... favorite musical artist is Colbie Caillat... favorite food is cereal... major is undecided.
