The University of San Francisco men’s soccer program will be hosting its 2017 College ID Camp Sunday, March 12, at Negoesco Field. The camp will be directed by head coach Eddie Soto with his assistants Alex Yi, Luis Trejo, and Jacob Pickard. Our college identification camp will be for all high school players, junior college, and transfer prospects.
Eddie Soto, a former All-American at Cal-State Fullerton who spent eight seasons as an assistant coach at UCLA, recently concluded his third season as the head men's soccer coach at the University of San Francisco. Soto wasted no time in putting his stamp on one of college soccer's most storied programs. In 2014, the Dons posted their first winning record since the 2006 season, finishing with an 11-6-2 overall mark. USF tied for second in the West Coast Conference standings with a 5-2-0 ledger, just one game behind conference champion San Diego.
In only three years, 24 USF players have earned All-WCC recognition. In January 2015, D.C. United selected Miguel Aguilar in the first round of the MLS Draft with the 17th overall pick. Similarly, David Romney was signed by the L.A. Galaxy II following his USF career, and later by the L.A. Galaxy on Aug. 5, 2015, and most recently, defender Josh Smith was drafted by the New England Revolution in the fourth round of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft.
The College ID Camp is open to all high school and junior college players, as well as possible transfer candidates. The camp will provide technical and tactical training sessions in the morning and afternoon, and small-sided games.
Open to 9th grade through junior college and 4-4 transfers.
This camp is open to any and all entrants.

Negoesco Field is adjacent to the Koret Health and Recreation Center at the intersection of Parker Ave. and Golden Gate Ave. Parking is available in the Koret Health and Recreation lot with entrances on Parker Ave. or on Turk Ave. USF does enforce a parking fee on most days of the week, but you can refer to the USF parking webpage for current information. Street parking can sometimes be found on Parker Ave. and/or Golden Gate Ave., but please be aware of posted signs for parking restrictions. [Information and directions]
