Shannon begins her fourth year with the Dons in 2016, serving as Assistant Athletic Trainer for the women’s soccer and tennis teams.
Prior to joining the USF Sports Medicine Staff she attended Campbell University in North Carolina receiving her Masters of Education with an emphasis is Exercise Science. While at Campbell, Shannon worked primarily with the women’s volleyball and men’s and women’s track and field programs.
As an undergraduate, Murphy earned her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology (Athletic Training) while attending Fresno State. She had the opportunity to work with multiple teams throughout her ATEP program, but as a senior her primary sports were women’s volleyball and women’s soccer.
Murphy is a member of the National Athletic Training Association as well as a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Shannon resides in San Francisco and enjoys spending free time meandering the city.
