SAN FRANCISCO—University of San Francisco Dons outfielder Bradley Zimmer was named to the Louisville Slugger preseason All-American First Team, Collegiate Baseball announced Monday morning.
The junior hit .320 with seven home runs, 37 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 2013, helping the Dons to their third trip to the NCAA Regionals and first since 2011.
He is the only West Coast Conference player to earn this honor and one of only five who play west of the Mississippi, joining Cal State Fullerton's Thomas Eshelman, Justin Garza, UCLA's David Berg and Oregon State outfielder Michael Conforto.
The Dons open the season at UC Riverside on Feb. 14.
