SAN FRANCISCO – Entering his 20^th year as head coach, Nino Giarratano is pleased to announce the signing of Breck Eichelberger (Snow Canyon/St. George, Utah), Harris Williams (Denver North/Denver, Colo.), Kasey Koppelmaa (Chatfield/Littleton, Colo.), Matt Mendibles (Yavapai College/Prescott Valley, Ariz.) and Jake Pizzo (Fresno City College/Fresno, Calif.) to a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of San Francisco for the 2018-19 year.
 
First, the spotlight will be on Breck Eichelberger. In his junior year at Snow Canyon High School, the right-handed pitcher finished the year with a 7-2 record, an earned run average of 3.30, and 60 strikeouts. Over the summer, Eichelberger's fastball was clocked at 93 MPH.
 
"Breck is one of the top arms in the state of Utah," said Giarratano.  "We are very excited to have such an elite level arm, he will compete as a front line starter in the WCC.  He has an above average fastball, breaking ball, and change-up. We are also extremely proud of him as a student and person, and we're very proud to welcome Breck and his family to USF."
 
"Breck's presence on and off the field will be missed here at Snow Canyon High School. But, we are glad for his opportunity to further his education and baseball career," said Snow Canyon High School head coach Reed Secrist. "Breck's work ethic has helped him prepare for this, to represent the Dons at the next level. We are excited for this next chapter in his baseball career."
 
Eichelberger will come up against one of his teammates when he arrives at USF, as Snow Canyon's shortstop, Austin Deming, has committed to play at West Coast Conference foe, Brigham Young University.
