BSB | Helland Earns Rawlings WCC Player of the Week Honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco's Riley Helland earned Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week honors, announced by the conference office today.

Helland hit an impressive .600 over four games, helping the Dons to a win over Oregon and a series win over conference foe, San Diego. Helland highlighted his week going 4-for-7 in USF's two wins over the Toreros, while driving in two RBIs. In the final game of the series, he registered three of the Dons' five total hits in the loss to USD.

By reaching base safely in all four games this past week, Helland has now improved his on-base streak to 25-games, while currently on a 13-game hit streak.

So far this season, Helland has a .350 batting average and a .411 on-base percentage. He has registered 35 hits, good for second on the team in that category, including 10 doubles. He has driven in 18 runs. This is USF's first Rawlings WCC Player of the week honors of the season.
