Three-Game Homestand Continues Against Montana
USF (3-1, 0-0 WCC) continues its three-game homestand Friday night when the Dons play host to the Montana Grizzlies (3-1, 0-0 Big Sky)..tip off is set for 7:00 p.m. in Memorial Gymnasium.
The Dons are coming off a 79-59 victory over Columbia last Saturday night and have won three straight after a season-opening loss to Stanford
The Grizzlies have also won three in a row after a season-opening loss to Colorado State and are coming off a 67-66 victory over San Diego...Montana will play at BYU on Wednesday before venturing to San Francisco.
The Series with Montana
USF leads the all-time series with Montana, 4-0, including a 65-62 victory last season in Missoula...
Rashad Green had 18 points and nine rebounds to pace the Dons.
USF also owns victories over the Grizzlies in 2010-11 (50-48), 2004-05 (79-56) and 2003-04 (72-71).
Game Promotion
Friday night's game theme -- Building a Better San Francisco -- is aimed to honor those citizens who work very hard to build a better city around us. Included in this group of honorees will be executive staff members and project managers from all of the recent USF building projects who have been working tirelessly to build a better university campus. Additionally, USF Athletics plans to honor the board members of all local neighborhood associations surrounding USF to thank them for cleaning up the streets, being positive influences in the community, and beautifying the city around us. All USF faculty and staff will be honored for their dedication to educating the young minds on campus and for actively Building a Better San Francisco every day.

De'End Parker scored a game-high 31 points on 12-of-18 shooting from the floor to pace the Dons to a 20-point victory over the visiting Lions.
Cole Dickerson recorded his third double-double in four games finishing with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
USF trailed 18-16 at the 9:55 mark of the first half before going on a 24-9 run to take a 40-27 lead at intermission.
USF led by as many as 26 points in the second half at 68-42.
The Dons finished the game shooting 50.9 percent from the floor.
De'End's Just Beginning
Junior guard De'End Parker leads USF in scoring afer four games with a 20.3 per game average...scoring average ranks fourth among all WCC players.
Parker scored a career high 31 points in USF's win over Columbia last Saturday, converting on 12-of-18 shots from the floor, including 2-of-4 from three-point range.
He opened the season by scoring 13 points against Stanford and followed with 18 and 19-point outings vs. Cal State-East Bay and American, respectively.
Parker is shooting 54.4 percent from the floor, including 66.7 percent (10-for-15) from three-point range...ranks second nationally in three-point percentage in the early going.
Parker grew up two blocks from the USF campus, attended Lincoln High School and City College of San Francisco before spending one season at UCLA.
Dickerson Doubling Down
Junior forward
Cole Dickerson is averaging 13.8 points and 13.8 rebounds a game after four games...he currently ranks first in the WCC and second nationally in rebound average.
He opened the season by scoring 11 points and pulling 19 rebounds against Stanford and followed with a 14-point, 15-rebound effort against Cal State-East Bay...after finishing with 20 points and seven rebounds at American, he posted his third double-double of the season vs. Columbia with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
He also posted double-doubles in both exhibition games against San Francisco State (21-15) and UNC-Pemboke (24-10).
Dickerson averaged 7.1 ppg and 4.0 rpg in 34 games last season, including one start.
Board Work
USF has outrebounded each of its first four opponents and currently lead the WCC and rank 11th nationally in rebound margin at +12 (40-.8-28.8).
The Dons held a 45-29 advantage on the glass against Stanford and outrebounded CS East Bay (50-39), American (28-19) and Columbia (40-28).
USF is 11.2 offensive boards a game while limiting the opponents to 6.2 second chances per contest.
Cole Dickerson currently leads the WCC and ranks second nationally in rebounding with a 13.8 per game average.
Last season, USF averaged 33.2 boards a game and finished fifth in the WCC in round margin at +0.9
Good Hands
USF has committed 58 turnovers in its first four games against Stanford (17), CS East Bay (17), American (11) and Columbia (15) while forcing 50.
The Dons have totaled 25 steals in four games, with Cody Doolin leading the way with five.
Of the Dons 100 made field goals, 44 percent have come off assists (44 total)...Doolin currently ranks third in the WCC in assist average at 5.3.
Defense
After fiving up a season-high 74 points to Stanford in the season-opener, USF has held its last three opponents under 60 points.
The Dons rank second in the WCC in scoring defense allowing just 61.0 points a game.
Debuts
Eight players have made their USF debuts so far this season, including freshmen Tim Derksen, Coltin Gelb, Matt Christiansen, Avry Holmes, Tao Xu and redshirt freshman Mark Tollefsen.
De'End Parker, who spent last year at UCLA and Frank Rogers, who played at Cabrillo College, have also made their USF debuts this season.
