
Katuna, Barbour Score Double-Digits In Loss

(San Francisco) - For the second consecutive game, Jamie Katuna led USF scorers with 10 points as the USF women's basketball team dropped a 62-49 decision to visiting Loyola Marymount at War Memorial Gym in San Francisco. Joining Katuna as a leading scorer, with 10 points, was Bailey Barbour.
San Francisco (4-19 overall, 2-8 WCC) struggled from the field on the evening shooting 35.8 percent from the field. The Dons, who average 6.0 three-pointers per game, hit just one basket from beyond the arc during the evening.
The Dons were sluggish out of the gate in the second half, scoring just three points in the opening 10 minutes. Loyola Marymount (7-15 overall, 3-7 WCC) outscored San Francisco 12-2 in the span. USF battled back as LMU outscored the Dons by just three, 34-31, in the half.
Katuna posted 10 points, marking her second straight game with double-digit scoring efforts. Katuna and Barbour both added four rebounds.
Ale led the Dons defensively with six rebounds while grabbing three steals.
San Francisco returns to the court Saturday as they host Bay Area rival Santa Clara at War Memorial Gym at 2 p.m. The game will serve as the annual "Pack The House" challenge. Fans can purchase for tickets, using the code "PACK", at www.usfdons.com
