Haley Nemra, a former San Francisco track and field athlete, competed in the women's 800m Wednesday at the Olympic Games in London. Nemra, a '12 graduate and two-time Olympian, represented the Marshall Islands.

Nemra finished sixth in her heat of the event, posting a time of 2:14.90.

Earlier in the games, Nemra was the honorary flag bearer for the Marshall Islands during the opening ceremonies.

Nemra, a native of Marysville ,Wash. is one of four Olympians representing the small, 68,000-person island nation, which helps comprise the large island chain of Micronesia, located in the Northern Pacific Ocean. Nemra's father, Korap, is from the Marshall Islands, and Haley owns dual citizenship, which qualifies her for the Olympics.

The former student-athlete first competed at 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Nemra is one of 21 former Dons to compete at the Olympic Games and is only one of three Dons to be two-time Olympians.
