SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The San Francisco women's tennis team continued its strong start to the spring, taking down Cal Poly 5-2 at the Mustang Courts Saturday.

The Dons remain undefeated in dual match action, improving to 3-0 on the year while Cal Poly dropped its opening match spring.
USF earned the doubles point after the Nos. 2 and 3 pairings nabbed wins. It took the tandem of Milica Hadzi-Tanovic and Genevieve McCloskey extra points before knocking off Mik Padmanabhan and Sayaka Tsugai 7-6.

In singles play, the Dons got straight-set wins from Thyra Taune, Andrea Ka, Marina Nikolic and Brooke Irish to close the match with a score of 5-2. Thus far in the young season, all four women are undefeated in the spring slate. Taune and Nikolic's victories put them at 3-0 in singles action.

USF continues its five-match road trip at UC Santa Barbara Sunday.
