Ka on to Semifinals at Battle in the Bay

Trailing 7-5, Cal pulled the match within one game but the Dons held off the Golden Bears to earn a tough-fought victory.
In her quarterfinal singles match, senior Andrea Ka lost her first set 7-5 to Hoang. However, Ka battled back to dominate the next two sets 6-0 and 6-1 and earn herself a place in the semifinals. Ka will face off against Sybille Gauvain of San Jose State on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 PM for a spot in the finals.
Playing with Madison Westby of USC, freshman Shanna Dos Santos suffered an 8-3 loss to Marie Klocker and Gaelle Ray of San Jose State in the opening round of doubles play.
