Complete WCC Release

SAN BRUNO -- The USF women's soccer team placed four on the All-West Coast Conference teams, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Seniors Jessica Nakae and Amanda Whittle landed on the second team, while junior Sonja Giraud was an honorable mention pick and Miciah Madison earned All-Freshman honors.

Whittle led the team in scoring with six goals and six assists overall, including two goals and a pair of assists in nine WCC matches. She previously earned honorable mention recognition each of the past two seasons.

Nakae - a two-time first teamer and honorable mention recipient – rounds out her career with her fourth consecutive all-conference nod. Nakae netted a goal against San Diego and added an assist at Pacific. Overall, she tallied a pair of goals and three assists on the year.

Giraud is a repeat honorable mention honoree after scoring three goals in conference play, all in consecutive games against Saint Mary's, Pacific and Loyola Marymount.

Meanwhile, Madison represented the Dons on the All-Freshman squad after a debut campaign where she started in 17 of the team's 19 contests and dished out two assists overall, one of which came in the Dons' 2-1 overtime loss to Santa Clara in the season finale this past weekend.

The Dons finished the year 7-12- 0 overall and 3-6- 0 in conference action, which put them in seventh place.
