Dons Finish Eighth at Peg Barnard

Final Team and Individual Results
STANFORD, Calif. -- USF's women's golf team managed to shave seven strokes off its score from Saturday and secured an eighth place finish at the Peg Barnard Invitational held at Stanford Golf Course.
After carding a 309 yesterday, USF posted a team score of 302 on Sunday to finish with final score of 611 for the 36-hole event. The Dons managed to hold off San Jose State, which finished ninth at 615 but were 14 strokes behind seventh place Fresno State.
Washington fired a final round 280 (-4) to overtake Stanford, Oregon and Cal to win the team title with a winning score of 571 (+3). Stanford finished second three shots back at 574 followed by Cal at 577. First round leader Oregon slipped to fourth after the Ducks shot a 14-over score of 298 on Sunday.
Wen Yung Keh of Washington won the individual title with a score of 138 (-4). Keh shot a final round 66 to earn a one stroke victory over Casey Danielson of Stanford and Ying Luo of Washington.
Clare Sorensen used a final round 73 to earn a share of 29th place at 151 (+9).
Alison Lillie followed Saturday's 75 with a 77 and finished tied for 32nd at 152 (+10).
Mabel Wong, playing as an individual, ied for 39th at 153 following a final round 78.
Emelie Lundstrom, Vanessa Ha and Ayaka Suzuki were part of a pack that tied for 42nd at 155 (+13). Ha's final round 77 was USF's second lowest score of the day while Lundstrom and Suzuki each carded rounds of 77 on Sunday.
USF will return to action on Monday, March 7 when the Dons host the Bay Area Intercollegiate at the Meadow Club.
