LOS ANGELES -- USF men's tennis team dropped a hard-fought, 4-3 decision at Loyola Marymount this afternoon, leaving the Dons' record at 4-19 overall and 2-5 in the WCC with one match remaining tomorrow at Pepperdine.

USF got off to a solid start by capturing the doubles point, thanks to wins by
Nils Skajaa-
Vasco Valverde and
Thomas Takemoto-
Christian Brockstedt.

However, the Lions roared back with four wins in singles to win the match, 4-3.

With the match tied at 1-1, Errol Smith gave the Lions a 2-1 lead with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over
Ryan Marker on court No. 2. Valverde then evened the match with a 6-2, 7-6 win over Lukas Moenter on court No. 3. LMU took a 3-2 lead in the match when Jamie Thorp turned back
Woravin Kumthonkittikul, 6-2, 6-4. Skajaa kept the Dons alive with a 3-6, 7-6, 6-4 victory over Cristobal Rivera on court No. 1.

Thomas Takemoto on court 3, LMU's Joat Frank stormed back for a 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 win to clinch the match for the Lions.

USF will close out its season tomorrow with a match at Pepperdine beginning at 3:30 p.m.
