NAPA, Calif. -- USF shot a final round 310 (+22) today and finished tied with New Mexico for 16th place at the Silverado Showdown which concluded today in Napa Valley.
The Dons finished at 918 (+54) for the 54-hole event after rounds of 301, 307 and 310, 18 strokes out of a top-10 finish against one of the strongest fields of the spring season.
Stanford completed its wire-to-wire victory to claim the team title with a score of 865 (+1) while Oregon finished 13 strokes back at 878. Pepperdine was third at 880 (+16).
Emelie Lundstrom was USF's top finisher as the Swede tied for 47th at 12-over 228. The senior got off to a tough start and was 7-over on her round after five holes before settling down to make eight straight pars. She ultimately finished with an 81 after opening with rounds of 73 and 74.
Clare Sorensen moved 12 spots up the leader board following a final round 75, which was the team's best score of the day, The senior was 2-under after three holes and was even par through 15, but then made back-to-back double bogeys on her 16 and 17th holes to quickly go to 4-over on her round. A birdie on her last hole led to a 75.
Vanessa Ha shot a final round 82 and tied for 68th at 17-over 233.
Alison Lillie turned in a 78 on Tuesday and was part of the pack at 233.
Ayaka Suzuki tied for 73rd at 234 following a final round 76.
USF will take the next two weeks to prep for the WCC Championships, which get underway on April 18 at the Blackhawk Country Club in Danville.
