SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women's soccer team placed four on the All-West Coast Conference teams, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.  Senior Sonja Giraud earned second team honors, while Samantha Jehnings, Miciah Madison, and Autumn Smithers all garnered honorable mention accolades.  
 
Giraud earns all-conference honors for the third time in her career, she earned honorable mention honors last season and was named to the all-freshman team her freshman season.  Giraud led the Dons in goals (8) and points (19).  Her eight goals this season was a career-high and tied for seventh in the WCC.  She finishes her career with 21 career goals, sixth all-time at USF.
 
This is the second time that Jehnings has been named to the honorable mention team.  In her freshman campaign, she earned all-freshman and honorable mentions honors.  This season, Jehnings finished second on the Dons with six goals and three assists for 15 points.  In WCC action, she finished with three goals, including a game winner in the historic 2-1 over Portland on October 8.

A 2016 WCC All-Freshman Team honoree, this is the second time Madison has earned all-conference recognition. Madison finished her sophomore campaign with a career-high five goals, four coming in conference play.  She scored the game winner in the win over Oklahoma and scored twice against Pacific.
 
Smithers had a breakout season in her return to the pitch.  After sitting out last season, Smithers started every game and played all 1908 minutes at the back for the Dons.  She finished the year with seven shots, two on goal and tallied her first collegiate goal against Pacific on October 20. 

The Dons finished the year 8-10-2 overall and 4-5-0 in conference action, which put them in sixth place.
