COACHES CORNER
"We are starting to play some 3-4 matches, but we still have not played a full lineup as of right now. As my athletes get more healthy, the goal is to see if we can compete with all pistons firing, but we are getting closer." — head coach Peter Bartlett.

On Gonzaga:
"As a team, Gonzaga is one of the top teams in the conference so our work is going to be cut out for us because we haven't played against a team like Gonzaga yet this year. The Bulldogs are a very good team — well built and pretty deep — but they are an indoor team so playing outdoors is going to be one of our advantages."

On Portland:
"Portland is an indoor team as well so we are going to use the outdoor advantage again. The Pilots are a little bit closer to where the Dons are as a team so it will be a great competitive match."

USF HISTORY
Vs. Gonzaga:

The Dons head into the match 2-10 while Gonzaga is 11-4 in the season. Last season, the two teams faced each other in Bulldog territory and it ended in a 0-4 loss for USF. The Dons were last victorious in the 2016 season when they won 4-2 after a tiebreaker winning set from Shanna Dos Santos.

Vs. Portland:
Emily Maxfield earned a point for her team in singles last season when USF faced Portland, but the Dons ultimately fell 1-6. In the 2016 season, Hanna Borjeson and Dos Santos helped secure the doubles point over Portland with a match win from the pair. Borjeson also earned a point for her team in singles play and the Dons defeated the Pilots 4-2.

UP NEXT
The Dons will be on the road for a rescheduled match against Saint Mary's on Wednesday, Apr. 4 in Moraga, Calif. Match time is at 1:30 p.m.
