Racing in the same heat, Henry Mong and Scott Halsted put together a pair of strong performances. For Halsted, his time of 3:47.63 was not only the fastest time of the night for the Dons, but it was also a personal best for the junior. Mong finished two spots behind Halsted with a time of 3:48.24.
Competing in the final heat of the evening, Hugh Nicklason put together the fourth and final strong performance from USF on the night. The sophomore crossed the line with a time of 3:48.11, which was a best for him in the 2018 outdoor season.
The Dons will stay in the Bay Area for their next competition as they compete in the Brutus Hamilton Open, hosted by Cal, on Friday, April 27.
