LUBBOCK, Texas — The San Francisco track team resumed its indoor schedule for the first time in 2019 on Friday, competing in the Red Raider Invitational at Texas Tech and turning in several impressive performances after a long break.

Chris Olley and Jack Rowe gave USF a 1-2 finish in the men's mile, beating the rest of the field by several seconds. Both of them ducked under the 4 minutes, 15 seconds mark, with Olley winning the race in 4:11.44 and Rowe following right behind in 4:13.90. The next competitor was nearly three seconds behind Rowe at 4:16.31.

Samantha Lind opened up her year with a strong double in the 200 and 400. She won her heat in the 200 and grabbed a top-25 finish with a time of 25.73 seconds. In the 400, she was among the top-10, placing seventh and breaking the 60-seconds mark with a time of 57.19 seconds.
