SEATTLE — A trio of Dons turned in strong performances Saturday at the University of Washington's UW Invitational at the Dempsey Indoor facility, led by Chris Olley's school record in the 3,000 meters.
Olley broke the eight-minute mark with ease in the 3,000, running a time of 7 minutes, 58.42 seconds. He finished second in his heat – the second-fastest of four heats Saturday – and placed 13th overall. Jack Rowe also ran in the same heat of the 3,000, posting a time of 8:03.75 for 18th overall.
Klein won her heat in the women's mile with a personal-best time of 4:42.94. She won her race by nearly two seconds. Her time Saturday was also one of the best all-time at USF, ranking third in program history.
