USF AT A GLANCE
• The Dons are 4-0 and looking to go 5-0 under first year head coach Todd Golden. With a win on Tuesday night, the first year head coach will be off to the best start by a first year coach on the Hilltop since William Bussenius started 7-0 in 1945-46, his only year at the helm of the Dons.  Previous bests: Kyle Smith started 4-1 in 2016 and Jim Brovelli began his tenure 4-1 in 1985.

• At home this year, USF is averaging 89.0 points per game, while holding their opponents to 69.0 points per game.

• USF has five players in double figures led by Charles Minlend's 16.0 points per game.  Joining Minlend in double figures: Jamaree Bouyea (13.8), Khalil Shabazz (13.0) and Jimbo Lull (10.8), and Jordan Ratinho (10.8).

• Getting Second Chances:  In the win over Southern Illinois on Saturday, the Dons finished with 19 second chance points.  They average 17.8 second chance points per game.  Their opponents this season are averaging just 2.5 second chance points per game.  A big reason for that is how good the Dons have been on the glass, averaging 30 defensive rebounds per contest.

• Deep Bench:  USF's bench has been crucial in the Dons' four wins.  As a team, the bench is averaging 30.0 points per game.  Khalil Shabazz leads the Dons reserves, he's averaging 13.0 ppg and has scored in double figures in all but one contest this season.  At Southern Illinois on Saturday he finished with 13 points.

THE SERIES
Tuesday will be the third time that the Dons and Roadrunners square off with both sides earning a win at home.  The series originated on Dec. 23, 2009 when the Dons defeated CSU Bakersfield 82-73 at War Memorial Gym. The next season, Bakersfield defeated the Dons 77-69 in Bakersfield.

ABOUT THE ROADRUNNERS
CSU Bakersfield is 2-2  on the year and 0-1 on the road this season.  They are coming off a lopsided 91-51 win over Life Pacific on Nov. 15 at home.  Four players are averaging better than 10 points a game and are led by Taze Moore who is averaging 16.3 points per game.  CSU Bakersfield is averaging 85.0 points per game and shooting 46.0 percent from the field.  Their opponents are averaging 65.5 points per game and shooting 40.2 percent from the field.  Head coach Rod Barnes is in his ninth season at the helm of CSU Bakersfield and boasts a record of 138-124 (.527).  The program, which plays in the Western Athletic Conference, became members of the NCAA Division I in 2007 and boast once NCAA Tournament appearance.

LAST TIME OUT VERSUS CSU BAKERSFIELD
The last time these teams squared off was on Dec. 4, 2010 when the Roadrunners defeated the Dons 77-69 in Bakersfield.  In that contest, the Dons had five players finish in double figures and were led by Cody Doolin's team-high 17 points.  Angelo Caloiaro had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.  USF however, could not overcome a seven point halftime deficit.  Cal State Bakersfield was led by Stephon Carter who finished with a game-high 23 points.

UP NEXT
