WSOC | Jehnings and Madison Earn All-Region Honors

SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco women's soccer team had two players earn United Soccer Coaches All-West Region honors this week.  For the second consecutive year, Samantha Jehnings and Miciah Madison earned third team honors.

For Jehnings and Madison this is the culmination of their legendary careers on the Hilltop.  Both players earned WCC All-Conference honors, with Madison earning first team honors and Jehnings garnering second team accolades. The two forwards finished their career in the top-10 in several statistical categories in USF history.

Jehnings, a four-time all-conference honoree finished the season with 25 points on 11 goals and three assists.  The native of Canyon Country, Calif., is only the second player in program history to record back-to-back seasons with 10 or more goals.  Jehnings finished her career first in games played (80), second in goals (35), third in points (79), and fourth in shots (159).

For Madison, the third team honors caps off another stellar season.  The Tracy, Calif., native finished the season with a team-leading 28 points on a career-best nine goals and 10 assists. She finishes her brilliant career in the top-10 in four categories.  She is 10th in goals (18), second in assists (24), and tied for fifth in points (50) and shots (152).

USF finished the year with an 10-8-2 overall record, which is just the 10th time in program history that the Dons have eclipsed the 10-win plateau – the third time under eighth year head coach Jim Millinder.
