SAN FRANCISCO - The University of San Francisco men's tennis team is at the Olympic Club on Thursday, January 23 for a match against UC Davis.
"The Dons are looking forward to a great match against a tough UC Davis team," said head coach
Pablo Pires de Almeida. "UC Davis is a well coached team with a fighting spirit and we always look forward to a battle."

The Dons faced Pepperdine over the weekend that resulted in a 2-4 loss. The doubles point was dropped by USF when doubles pair
Johan Garpered and
Mitch Johnson (2-6), and
Phuc Huynh and
Paul Giraud (3-6) fell on their courts. Because the point had already gone to the Wave,
Nitzan Ricklis and Ori Maior's match went unfinished (4-4).
USF trailed 0-3 during singles when Garpered (4-6, 1-6) and Huynh (5-7, 6-2) dropped their matches. The Dons were finally on the board after wins from Maior (6-4, 6-2) and Ricklis (6-2, 5-7, 6-1), but the 4-2 victory went to the Waves when Giraud fell 4-6, 6-7 and Johnson's match went unfinished (4-6, 6-4, 5-2).
LAST TIME OUT VS. UC DAVIS
The Dons last faced the Aggies in the 2017-2018 season when USF was downed 2-4.
At first serve for doubles, USF had a win from former Dons
Mert Zincirli and
Johan Joenhagen winning their battle 6-2. Former Dons
Ryan Marker and
Paul Giraud lost their match and the doubles point went to UC Davis when former Dons
Lucas Marinelli and
Oliver Poysti fell on their court, 6-7.
In singles play, USF fell behind 0-3 when Giraud (4-6, 2-6) and Marinelli (4-6, 0-6) dropped their matches. The Dons had comeback wins from Poysti (6-4,6-4) and Zincirli (6-2, 7-5), but UC Davis took the last two matches and the Dons fell 2-4.
