SAN FRANCISCO – In part four of our special series: Coffee with the Legends. The group sits down to discuss how the game has changed over the years, the defensive mindset of those championship squads, and giving back.
In February, three USF men's basketball Hall of Famers, Mike Farmer, Ollie Johnson, and Bill Cartwright, attended the USF Men's Basketball game against Pepperdine to witness the retirement of fellow Hall of Fame member Joe Ellis's number 31.
Before the game, all four legends sat down with Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director,
Frank Allocco, for a rare roundtable opportunity with some of the finest basketball players the historic Dons program has ever produced. The first episode of the series focuses on the various paths that brought all the legends to the same place at USF. Future installments will cover their glory years, legacies, giving back, and the significance of jersey retirement.
