MBB | Dons Game at USC Cancelled, Add Road Tilt at Oregon

SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco men's basketball game against USC has been canceled. The Dons were set to play the Trojans on Wednesday night on Pac-12 Network.  To make up the loss of that high profile game, the Dons have added fellow Pac-12 opponent Oregon for a Thursday evening contest.

Team activities in the USC men's basketball program remain paused due to a confirmed case of COVID-19 announced on Dec. 13.  As a result, USC's next three games—home against San Francisco on Wednesday (Dec. 16), at Oregon State on Dec. 20 and home versus Texas Southern on Dec. 23—have been canceled (USF and Texas Southern) or postponed (Oregon State).

Thursday's contest will be the 11th time the Dons and Ducks have squared off, with Oregon owning an 8-2 advantage in the series.  The two sides played eight times between the 1947-48 and 1958-59 seasons. USF has played the Ducks twice since 2007, including a game at Matthew Knight Arena on Nov. 24, 2013.

The game is slated for a 5:00 p.m. tip off and will be televised on the Pac-12 Network. Rick Burk will have the play-by-play with Eldridge Recasner serving as the color analyst.
