MGOLF | Dons Travel to San Diego for Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic

The University of San Francisco men's golf team is back in action this week, traveling to Chula Vista, Calif., to participate in the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic at the San Diego Country Club. The two-day event begins on Monday and will conclude on Tuesday.

The Course
The 54-hole tournament will take place on the par 72, 7,033 yard San Diego Country Club. Two consecutive 18-hole rounds will be played on Monday, with the final 18 holes played on Tuesday.
The Field (19)
The 19 team field consists of 17 teams currently ranked in the top-100. The No. 53 ranked Dons will compete against: No. 3 Arizona State, No. 5 Texas A&M, No. 11 Arizona, No. 18 BYU, No. 19 Colorado State, No. 26 North Carolina, No. 28 San Diego State, No. 33 Cal, No. 37 Tennessee, No. 42 Ole Miss, No. 66 St. Mary's, No. 67 Long Beach State, No. 73 Sam Houston State, No. 84 Colorado, No. 85 UC Davis, No. 94 Santa Clara, No. 123 San Diego, No. 182 Air Force

The Dons are fresh of a tournament championship at the Orange County Collegiate Classic. USF finished with four players inside the top-10 and was led by Tim Widing who captured third. The Dons will trot out the same lineup this week: consisting of Widing, Matthew Anderson, Alex Chin, Soren Lind and Toby Briggs.
