SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco women's soccer team, under the direction of head coach
Jim Millinder, is pleased to announce the addition of forward Ashley Jordan (Melbourne, Australia/University of Melbourne) for the 2020 season.
"Ashley is a great addition to our program," said Millinder. "She is an outstanding athlete, competitor and a goal scorer! I'm excited to get her here and integrate her into our team. I think one of the things I noticed right away was her desire to compete and succeed. We're very excited to have her on the Hilltop!"
Jordan spent her freshman year at the University of Melbourne, where she displayed an incredible ability to put the ball in the back of the net. In seven games for Melbourne in 2019, she tallied 20 goals. She helped guide her team to a third-place finish at the University Games and was recognized with the Golden Boot Award.
She honed her goal-scoring habits on the club scene. In 27 career matches playing for FC Bulleen Lions she scored 39 goals. Three times she took home the Golden Boot award and led her squad to a NPL U19 championships. She scored multiple goals in 11 of her 27 matches, including a pair of five-goal games.
Jordan possess exceptional speed as well. As a prep, she took first in the 100 and 200 meter sprints for three-consecutive years. Off the pitch, she played club volleyball and participated on the club track and field team at Templestowe College.
Jordan joins a very talented and deep
recruiting class, one which Millinder expects will make an immediate impact on a Dons program looking to build on its recent success.
