SAN FRANCISCO — The University of San Francisco is pleased to announce the signing of defensive specialist Sara Denham to a National Letter of Intent. The Southern California product is expected to bolster the Dons' defense for the 2020 season.

Denham is a multi-sport athlete who comes from an athletic family. Her parents, Dave and Shari, were collegiate athletes and her older sister Caylie was a four-time letter winner at Hofstra who is now a graduate assistant at Iona.
Denham, a four-time letter winner at Village Christian, also played lacrosse one season. As a prep she led her team to four consecutive Olympic League championships, culminating with a state title in 2018.
A three-time all-league honoree, she took home the CIF Southern Section Student-Athlete of the Year award from Village Christian in her senior year. She was also named First Team All- Olympic League and finished with 224 digs to go with 23 aces in 100 sets played. For her career, she finished with 413 sets played, 1,010 digs, 2.4 digs per set, and 84 aces.
Very active on the club scene, she began playing volleyball competitively at age 11 for her father's club team before transferring to SG Elite. In 2019, Denham and her club finished third at the Colorado Crossroads Tournament.
