NOTTINGHAM, United Kingdom – Former University of San Francisco women's basketball player
Moa Lundqvist has signed to play for the Nottingham Wildcats, members of the Women's British Basketball League.
A two-time letter winner for the Dons, Lundqvist played in 62 games, making 61 starts. She finished her career shooting .426 from the field (124-for-291), while averaging 5.1 rebounds and 4.5 points per game.
"After sitting out last season at USF, I feel extra motivated to get back out on the court and play," said Lundqvist. "I think University of Nottingham and Nottingham Wildcats is a great place for me to keep developing both in the classroom and on the court. I'm so grateful for my time at USF and feel ready for this new adventure in the UK!"
While playing for the Wildcats, Lundqvist will also get her masters in marketing from the University of Nottingham.
"Moa is getting a fantastic opportunity," said USF women's basketball assistant coach
Arthur Moreira. "The Wildcats are one of the top professional teams in the WBBL, having won two championships in 15-16 and 16-17."
The Wildcats were established in 1976 and were one of the founding members of the Women's British Basketball League in 2014. The WBBL is the top-level women's basketball league in Great Britain.
