Eanes was a multi-sport athlete as a prep. She played four years of varsity volleyball, playing at both Menchville and Floyd E. Kellam high schools, graduating from Kellam High this spring. She was also a swimmer in all four years of her high school and competed for a year in track as a 400-meter runner.
Eanes won a state championship with Kellam High as a senior last fall, with the team going 27-3 and winning the Virginia 6A title. Earlier in the year, the Knights also won the prestigious Virginia Volleyball Showcase in Richmond, Va.
Eanes also played for multiple competitive clubs during her teen years, including Coastal Hampton Roads, Williamsburg Volleyball Club and Coastal Virginia Club. Most recently, she and the U18 Coastal Virginia Club earned a medal at the Revolutionary Rumble tournament.
