SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference officially announced that
Jamaree Bouyea has been named the WCC Player of the Week on Monday morning.
Notably, this honor marks the second straight week in which the guard was tabbed the conference player of the week. Notably, Bouyea also becomes the first student-athlete in the conference to earn the award twice this season.
Pouring in another impressive performance for the undefeated Dons, Bouyea finished with a game-high 27 points on 11-of-18 from the floor and 4-of-8 from distance in USF's 71-63 comeback win over Fresno State on Wednesday, Dec. 8. Following his program record eight threes on Dec. 4 against UNLV, Bouyea cashed in on 4+ triples for the fourth time this season while also tallying his sixth 20+ point performance in ten games. Additionally, Bouyea led USF in rebounding in the victory over Fresno State with 6 boards while also adding 3 assists, 3 steals and 1 block.
Heading into the new week, Bouyea currently leads the WCC in scoring (20.0 ppg) and is second in total points (200), second in made three-pointers per game (3.2), second in three-pointers attempted per game (6.8) and third in minutes per game (35.4).
