
MTEN | Seven Dons Earn ITA Scholar-Athlete Honors

SAN FRANCISCO – Seven members of the University of San Francisco men's tennis team earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) scholar-athlete honors, while the program earned All-Academic honors as announced by the ITA.
USF finished the 2020-21 academic year with a team GPA of 3.74. Six members of the team finished the year with a GPA of 3.80 or higher for the year.
Earning scholar-athlete honors was Johan Garpered, Paul Giraud, Stevie Gould, Mitch Johnson, Nitzan Ricklis, Ori Maior, Nitzan Ricklis, and David Woodland. This is the third-straight year on the list for Ricklis and Woodland.
All-Academic teams collectively boast a GPA of 3.20 or higher. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present institution for at least two semesters.
