ERIE, Colo. – Returning to the course for the first time this fall, the University of San Francisco men's golf team impressed in their season-opening tournament by finishing in second at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational. Notably, USF tied Utah with a 36-under-828 team total, which marked the second-best team score by any program in the eleven years of the event.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
"This week was a solid start to the year. We got off to a slow start, but never let that bother us. Hats off to Boise State for playing incredible golf. Everyone contributed this week which was a good sign. We all have some areas to improve in, but we are confident that we will be ready for Reno."
UP NEXT:
USF will aim to keep their early momentum rolling when they travel to the Wolfpack Invitational (hosted by Nevada) in Reno, Nev. on October 11th & 12th.
