DONS AT A GLANCE:
  • Fresh off of their most thrilling victory of the season, USF will aim to keep their momentum rolling after taking down UNLV, 75-73, following a game-winning three-pointer from Tyrell Roberts with 6.8 seconds remaining in regulation. In the win, Zane Meeks also dominated as he logged his fourth double-double of the season with 17 points and 17 rebounds (career-high) to go along with two assists and one steal. Alongside Meeks, Roberts and Khalil Shabazz each finished with 17 points apiece while also combining for six total assists.
  • Looking at the all-time leader boards, Shabazz currently sits eight threes away from second all-time in three-pointers made (Ali Thomas is first at 236) as he enters Monday night with 228 total made threes in his career at USF. Within the WCC, the Seattle native also ranks second in steals per game and total steals (28). Nationally, his 28 steals rank fourteenth in the country.
  • Becoming instrumental in USF's success night in and night out, Meeks currently sits sixth in the conference in total offensive rebounds (30) and tenth in rebounds per game (6.8).
  • With a win on Monday night, USF would push their non-conference winning streak at home to 16 consecutive games.
SCOUTING THE MAVERICKS:
  • Monday night will mark the fourth-straight opponent for UT Arlington that played in either the NCAA Tournament or NIT last year: LSU (NCAA), North Texas (NIT; Conference USA Champions), Texas State (NIT; Sun Belt Conference Champions) and San Francisco (NCAA). Notably, the Mavericks have dropped the first three games by a combined 13 points with narrow losses at LSU (63-59) on Dec. 2, at home to UNT (60-57) on Dec. 6 and against Texas State (71-65) on a neutral floor on Dec. 10.
  • Nationally, UTA currently ranks second in the country with an average of 15.0 offensive rebounds per game (Saint Peters is first with 15.1). Individually, Shemar Wilson enters the matchup ranked twelfth nationally with 3.7 offensive rebounds per contest.
  • As a team, the Mavericks also rank in the top fifty nationally in each of the following categories: rebounds (21st, 40.6), bench points (41st, 29.1), points allowed (46th, 62.5) and field goal defense (46th, 39.4%).
  • Historically, UT Arlington is just eight wins shy of 800 all-time victories in program history as they enter the week with 792 total victories.
SERIES HISTORY:
Monday's meeting between the Dons and the Mavericks will mark the third matchup all-time between the two programs and their first since 1991. UTA currently holds a 2-0 lead in the all-time series over USF. Notably, it will also mark the first game on either team's home floor as both prior matchups were hosted at neutral sites.
