Bouyea, Massalski Named to NABC All-District Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NABC officially released the 2022 NABC Division I All-District Teams and District Coaches of the Year on Tuesday morning.

The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division I.

For San Francisco, graduate student Jamaree Bouyea was named to the 2022 NABC District 9 First Team while classmate Yauhen Massalski was selected to the NABC District 9 Second Team. Notably, this is Bouyea's second consecutive year on an NABC All-District Team as the versatile guard was named to the Second Team in 2020-21.

Guiding the Dons to a 24-9 overall record and their first NCAA Tournament berth since 1997-98, both Bouyea and Massalski led the charge for the Dons this season as each finished in the tops of multiple statistical categories within the WCC.

For Bouyea, the Seaside native impressed all season long as the two-time WCC Player of the Week finished in the top five in the conference in total minutes (1, 107, first), minutes per game (35.7, first), made field goals (198, first), total points (528, second), total steals (54, third), points per game (17.0, fourth) and assists (126, fourth). Proving to be a workhorse for USF no matter the opponent, the versatile guard also finished in the top ten in total blocks (26, sixth), made three-pointers (67, sixth) and defensive rebounds (142, eighth). After his five years on the Hilltop, Bouyea will leave USF as one of the most accomplished athletes in program history as he is also the program's all-time wins leader (98 wins) and is first all-time in games played (159) in the green and gold.

Coming to the Hilltop last summer after four seasons at San Diego, Massalski dominated in his lone year with the Dons as the 6'9" forward racked up thirteen double-doubles while starting and playing in all 31 of USF's games. Overall, these thirteen double-doubles led the WCC and ranked eighteenth nationally. Showing his skillset no matter the matchup, Massalski paced the WCC in offensive rebounds (105) and total rebounds (292) this season while also ranking second in rebounds per game (9.4), total blocks (70) and field goal percentage (60.0). Notably, he also finished in the top ten in total points (423, eighth) and points per 40 minutes (20.1, ninth).
