Volleyball Announces 2022 Summer Camps

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco volleyball program has officially announced upcoming Nike volleyball camps on the campus of USF this summer. 

Campers will have the opportunity to train with the USF coaching staff as they elevate their game and improve their court skills and knowledge. 

Designed as a day camp, campers will work on fine-tuning their skill set through a variety of drills and live game-play competition. Volleyball players, ages 10-18, from the Bay Area and beyond are invited to compete and train under elite coaches and prepare for the 2022 season.

OVERVIEW
  • Age Group: 10-18
  • Gender: Girls
  • Programs: All Skills (ages 10-16), Position Specialty (ages 10-18), Advanced/Elite (ages 13-18)
  • Camp Type: Day Camp  
  • Lunch: Pizza will be available for those who are not able to bring a lunch for $3 a slice. Campers are welcomed to bring a sack lunch to camp each day.

  • Attend multiple sessions! Campers are encouraged to attend multiple sessions! Each program delivers something unique to help players excel in all areas of the game. 
CAMP OPTIONS
**Please note: Camp schedules and details may be subject to change. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff and placed into groups based on age and ability level.

ALL SKILLS I SCHEDULE
  • Dates: June 24-26
  • Ages: 10-16
  • Daily Hours: Friday, 12:00pm-6:00pm, Saturday-Sunday 8:00am-3:00pm
  • Check-in: 11:30am on Friday*
  • Check-out: 3:00pm on Sunday
  • Lunch: Pizza will be available for those who are not able to bring a lunch for $3 a slice. Campers are welcomed to bring a sack lunch to camp each day. 
  • Program: The All Skills program is geared towards players of all abilities. Campers will work on mastering the proper fundamentals for all positions through a mix of drills, games, and competitive play.
*Parents are required to walk their child into the gym on Day 1 with the completed USF Camp Participation Waiver Form 

ADVANCED/ELITE SCHEDULE
  • Dates: July 11-13
  • Ages: 13-18
  • Daily Hours: Monday-Wednesday, 8:00am-3:00pm 
  • Check-in: 7:30am on Monday*
  • Check-out: 3:00pm on Wednesday 
  • Lunch: Pizza will be available for those who are not able to bring a lunch for $3 a slice. Campers are welcomed to bring a sack lunch to camp each day. 
  • Program: This Advanced/Elite program is geared towards players, ages 14-18, with 2-3 years of competitive experience. This intense, challenging program stresses position play, advanced team techniques, physical conditioning, and a higher level of competitive play.
*Parents are required to walk their child into the gym on Day 1 with the completed USF Camp Participation Waiver Form 

POSITION SPECIALTY SCHEDULE
  • Dates: July 14-15
  • Ages: 10-18
  • Daily Hours: Thursday-Friday, 8:00am-3:00pm 
  • Check-in: 7:30am on Thursday*
  • Check-out: 3:00pm on Friday
  • Lunch: Pizza will be available for those who are not able to bring a lunch for $3 a slice. Campers are welcomed to bring a sack lunch to camp each day. 
  • Program: These Position Specialty programs are geared towards players looking to hone their skills in a specific position. Campers will learn the role of Libero the first two hours, Setter the second two hours and the Hitter the last two hours each day. The level of instruction will be consistent with those taught to the university team.

ALL SKILLS II SCHEDULE
  • Session II: July 29-31
  • Ages: 10-16
  • Daily Hours: Friday-Sunday, 8:00am-3:00pm 
  • Check-in: 7:30am on Friday*
  • Check-out: 3:00pm on Sunday
  • Lunch: Pizza will be available for those who are not able to bring a lunch for $3 a slice. Campers are welcomed to bring a sack lunch to camp each day.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
  • Lunch: Pizza will be available for those who are not able to bring a lunch for $3 a slice. Campers are welcomed to bring a sack lunch to camp each day. 
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Volleyball Camps t-shirt and prizes. *1-day clinics excluded.
  • Volleyballs: Volleyballs are provided for instruction during camp. Campers may purchase a US Sports Camps (Molten) Volleyball at the time of registration, which will be given out on the last day of camp. Fun tip: Have your camp friends sign your ball before you leave!

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience
  • Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own kneepads and have at least one pair of well broken-in volleyball (court) shoes. Campers do not need to bring their own ball.
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
HEALTH & RELEASE FORMS
All registered campers are required to have a parent or legal guardian fill out US Sports Camps' mandatory Health & Release Forms online before arrival at camp. This camp does NOT require a doctor's signature on the forms.

CAMP INFORMATION PACKET
A detailed Camp Information Packet containing check-in location and address, on-site staff contact information, a checklist of things to bring, site-specific forms, and more will be emailed to all registered campers prior to camp. To check if your Camp Information Packet is ready, click here.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNTS
If you have a group of eight or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during check out. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.
