ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Ready to return to the course for their second tournament of the year, the University of San Francisco men's golf team will travel to Albuquerque this weekend as the Dons are set to compete in the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate at the Championship Course at UNM.
 
Hosted by New Mexico, this two-day tournament will feature 36 holes and Friday, Sept. 23 followed by the final 18 holes on Saturday, Sept. 24.

DONS AT A GLANCE:

• Last time out, the Dons finished fifth overall as a team at the USF Intercollegiate as the program hosted their first tournament at Olympic Club Golf Course since Mar. 2019. Individually, Jakob Melin impressed in his debut for USF as the freshman tied for eighth overall. Right behind him, Matthew Anderson tied for twelfth overall while Ben Partridge tied for seventh overall in his first tournament in the green and gold.
• Dating back to 1955, the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate has been a premier event in college golf for years. Last year, BYU was crowned champion while host New Mexico finished as the runner-up.
• Heading into the tournament, USF currently ranks No. 57 overall in Golfstat's team rankings and No. 76 in Golfweek's men's team collegiate rankings.
• Notably, this tournament will mark the first of two tournaments in a week for USF as the Dons will head east to co-host the Howard/USF Collegiate Invitational at TPC Potomac next Monday and Tuesday.
