LA JOLLA, Calif. – With the winter break behind them, the USF Dons men's tennis team is readying to begin their spring 2023 season on Thursday as they will compete against the UC San Diego Tritons and Point Loma Lions at the UCSD campus. The Dons' San Diego swing continues the remainder of the weekend as they will take on the San Diego State Aztecs on Saturday before opening WCC action against the San Diego Toreros on Sunday at noon.
The Dons return to action for the first time since the Pacific Invitational in November as they prepare for the spring season competing in both singles and doubles play.
Competing last October at the Taube Classic in the South Bay,
Stevie Gould picked up the singles win for USF in the mixed gender effort with the Dons' women's team.
Joining USF this spring on the roster is graduate student
Davide Cortimiglia, who comes to the Hilltop from Genoa, Italy.
Thursday's first match against the Tritons is slated to begin at 10:00 a.m. PT, USF will then wrap up the day taking on Point Loma at 2:00 p.m. PT at the UCSD courts.
