SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Capping off another tremendous season competing for the USF Dons indoor track and field team,
Ruby Smee has become the first runner in program history to qualify for consecutive NCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championship appearances. She will be competing in the 5,000 meter run for the second consecutive year.
Smee capped off her regular season by setting a new meet record in the 5K at the Ken Shannon Invite last weekend in Seattle. To begin her season back up at Dempsey Indoor, as she broke her own previous record when she raced in the UW Invite back in January.
This year's race will be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico with the best athletes from across the nation set to compete. The meet is scheduled to take place the weekend of March 10.
