Ralphie Ferrari Named to 50 Next Up List

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- University of San Francisco men's basketball assistant to the head coach Ralphie Ferrari was recently named to the 50 Next Up List by Silver Waves Media

Recipients are chosen based on the outlet's research seeking out the most talented support staff coaches in the nation. Each candidate was selected based on their likelihood to receive a promotion to assistant coach. To be considered for this list, a coach must be an active member of the Division I men's basketball program.

Ferrari joined the USF men's basketball program in the summer of 2018 as video coordinator. In 2021-22, he helped guide the Dons to a 24-8 regular season record and their first NCAA tournament birth in 24 years.

In his current role, Ferrari handles advanced scouting, individual player workouts and assists in day-to-day program operations and film work. Prior to joining the USF staff, Ferrari was a team manager during the Dons run to the 2018 CBI Championship. During his role as team manager, Ferrari also helped assist with film work.

Before his time at USF, Ferrari played basketball at Burlingame High School. After graduating from Burlingame High, Ferrari coached AAU basketball in the peninsula for six years.

Ferrari is a 2018 graduate of the University of San Francisco with a degree in Communications Studies.
