PALO ALTO/SAN FRANCISCO/FRESNO, Calif. The USF Dons outdoor track and field team have a busy weekend ahead as they're set to compete across three meets in the Bay Area. Their weekend consists of appearances in the Stanford Invitational, Mike Fanelli Invitational and West Coast Relays. The Dons will look towards posting regional qualifiers in their respective events competing against strong competition.
Things will kick off on Friday at the Stanford Invitational, where
Abby Pradere will compete in the 1500m,
Baneet Bains in her first 3km steeplechase of the season and
Ruby Smee in the 10km, where she will open up her outdoor season.
On Friday a group on Dons will also be traveling to Fresno for the West Coast Relays, where
Lorie Cashdollar and
Julia Morales will compete in the 800m event and
Olivia Alexandre will race over the 400m hurdles.
Friday and Saturday, the Dons will also be well represented at The Mike Fanelli Invitational, at San Francisco State. Eight Dons from the men's side will be competing in the 5km with
Ed Buck leading the way looking to lead his teammates under the 15-minute mark. While
Daniel Abramowicz and
Carter Lewis will compete in the 1,500m event.
On the women's side, the Dons will have five participants in the 1,500m led by
Grace Copeland and competitors in the 800m, 400m hurdles, 100m and the sprint medley relay.
