SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The University of San Francisco women's basketball program and head coach Molly Goodenbour officially announced the commitment of 6'0" guard Mia Vuksic from Sibenik, Croatia on Friday afternoon.
Vuksic spent the last three years competing for the Kansas Jayhawks of the Big 12 playing in 54 games across three seasons averaging 4.1 PPG while demonstrating a strong ability to stretch the floor as she shot 48% from three-point range during the 2021-22 season.
"We are excited to announce the addition of Mia to the women's basketball program," Goodenbour said. "She's a knockdown three-point shooter who will allow us to stretch the defense while also possessing great size, versatility, perimeter skills and most of all her passion for the game will be a great fit for our program as we compete for a WCC championship."
A former Bluestar Europe four-star recruit, Vuksic competed for her native Croatia's professional league team Zkk Sibenik while also playing for her country's national team prior to arriving in Lawrence. Competing at the 2019 FIBA Division A level, she was the league's top scorer while competing at the top level of the under-20 championships organized by FIBA Europe.
