
Giraldez Named to WCC's All-Academic First Team

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced on Tuesday afternoon the recipients of the 2023 Men's Tennis All-Academic awards following a strong spring season in the classroom and on the courts.
Leading the way for the Dons in receiving recognition following his tremendous spring was senior Nil Giraldez, who was named to the All-Academic First Team after being an Honorable Mention pick in 2022.
Junior Stevie Gould and sophomore Nikola Kuraica each were selected as Honorable Mentions for 2023, as Gould made the list in back-to-back years while Kuraica was selected following a strong second season competing on the Hilltop.
Recipients are decided upon meeting the following qualifications:

- A minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average (GPA) based on the most recently completed term at the time of the nomination.
- Have at least sophomore athletic and academic standing with at least one year in residence completed at the nominating institution (true freshmen, redshirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers could not be nominated)
- Participate in at least 50 percent of the institution's completed contests
