Men's Basketball Adds Sharpshooting Forward Stefan Todorovic

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Head coach Chris Gerlufsen and the University of San Francisco men's basketball program officially announced the addition of forward Stefan Todorovic on Friday afternoon.
"It is our pleasure to welcome Stefan Todorovic to our basketball family here at the University of San Francisco," said Gerlufsen. "Stef possesses great size/skill and an extremely high IQ for the game. He possesses a strong work ethic and will be a great representative of the USF community. Our coaching staff is excited to get him back to the Bay Area!"
Coming to the Hilltop after two seasons at SMU, Todorovic brings versatility to the USF roster as he played in 31 games, including 7 starts, in 2022-23 for the Mustangs. Overall, he averaged 5.5 points and 2.4 rebounds, which included a career-high performance with 27 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals and one block versus Tulane on Jan. 11, 2023. Notably, he reached double figures in eight games last season. In 2021-22, Todorovic played in 24 games for SMU as he averaged 2.9 points per game while shooting 43.5 percent from beyond-the-arc, which was the second-best mark from distance by a freshman in program history.
In the summer of 2021, Todorovic competed for Serbia at the FIBA U19 World Cup, as the team went undefeated in group play before finishing fourth overall. Impressively, he hit the game-winning three pointer with 9.4 seconds left to lift Serbia over Latvia in their final game of group play.
Known for his elite shooting, Todorovic was one of 12 international players invited to the Nike Hoops Summit. In 2020-21, he averaged a team-best 15.7 points with 1.8 assists and 2.9 rebounds while shooting 44.6% from three for Prolific Prep in California. In 2019-20, he averaged 18.8 points, 4.0 Rebounds and 5.0 assists for Serbia's U19 Partizan NIS in the U19 ABA League. He was ranked No. 102 nationally by 247 Sports.
Todorovic joins Ryan Beasley, Junjie "Barry" Wang, Malik Thomas and Jonathan Mogbo as the fifth member of USF's 2023 signing class.
