FORT WORTH, Texas - Competing in their first full race of the new year, the University of San Francisco triathlon team delivered another strong team performance on Sunday morning as the Dons finished third overall behind host TCU and defending national champion Arizona State at the Battle in the Fort.
 
RACE HIGHLIGHTS:

• Notably, 2021 individual national champion Kira Gupta Baltazar led the charge for the green and gold as she finished second overall with a time of 1:08:17. Impressively, her time of 10:29 in the water led all participants in the swim portion of the race. Additionally, her run time (19:39) was good for sixth while her time on the bike (27:42) was good for eighth.
• Making her return to racing after not competing due to injury last year, Molly Elliott came back with a bang as she paced all student-athletes with a 27:15 time on the bike.
• Showing out in the water, Veronika Divis also finished fifth overall in the swimming portion of the race as she recorded a 10:37 for the Dons.
