DONS AT A GLANCE:
- After finishing as a top 20 team in the country at the 2023 NCAA Men's Golf National Championships last spring, the green and gold kicked off their 2023-24 campaign with a strong team performance as the Dons finished second overall (24-under-840/277, 282, 281) at the USF/Howard Intercollegiate on Monday, Sept. 17 and Tuesday, Sept. 18, which was co-hosted with Howard University.
- Individually, reigning WCC Freshman of the Year Jakob Melin picked up where he left off as the sophomore finished second overall at 11-under-205 (68, 67, 69) to lead the pack for the Dons. Close behind, Ben Partridge finished two strikes behind as he tied for third overall at 9-under-207 (68, 70, 69).
- Notably, San Francisco will compete in the William H. Tucker for the second straight year as the Dons finished eleventh overall in the field last fall. Playing in just their second collegiate tournament at the time, Melin and Partridge each tied for 53rd overall at 7-over-223.
Live results of the tournament are available via Golfstat and the team's schedule page.
