
San Francisco Earns Top-10 Finishes at Bronco Invitational

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Highlighted by a third-place place team finish on the women's side, the University of San Francisco cross country program competed in the Bronco Invitational Saturday morning at Baylands Regional Park.

- Katharina Goetschl and Natálie Hluší led the way for the women in the 6000 meters as the duo earned top-10 finishes out of 182 participants. Goetschl paced the Dons with a sixth-place finish, setting a new personal-best time of 20:37.4, while Hluší grabbed eighth at 20:49.2.
- Poppy Martin shined in her third-career meet, setting a new personal best, concluding the race in 27th with a time of 21:15.3. Martin, a true freshman, surpassed her previous best of 21:46.4 by over 30 seconds set at the Paul Short Run.
- Zach Elam led the men's team in the 8000 meters with his second top-10 finish of the season, crossing in fifth place out of 139 competitors. His time of 23:58.1 surpassed his previous season-best of 24:43.7 set at the USF Invitational.
- Ethan O'Shea also performed well, earning 16th at 24:35.7 in this third-career collegiate meet.
- As a team, the men's program placed eighth out of 17 teams, securing 195 points.
