San Francisco Earns Top-10 Finishes at Bronco Invitational

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Highlighted by a third-place place team finish on the women's side, the University of San Francisco cross country program competed in the Bronco Invitational Saturday morning at Baylands Regional Park.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

Katharina Goetschl and Natálie Hluší led the way for the women in the 6000 meters as the duo earned top-10 finishes out of 182 participants. Goetschl paced the Dons with a sixth-place finish, setting a new personal-best time of 20:37.4, while Hluší grabbed eighth at 20:49.2.
Poppy Martin shined in her third-career meet, setting a new personal best, concluding the race in 27th with a time of 21:15.3. Martin, a true freshman, surpassed her previous best of 21:46.4 by over 30 seconds set at the Paul Short Run.
Zach Elam led the men's team in the 8000 meters with his second top-10 finish of the season, crossing in fifth place out of 139 competitors. His time of 23:58.1 surpassed his previous season-best of 24:43.7 set at the USF Invitational.
Ethan O'Shea also performed well, earning 16th at 24:35.7 in this third-career collegiate meet.
As a team, the men's program placed eighth out of 17 teams, securing 195 points.
